Systems naturally move toward disorder unless energy is applied to maintain structure.
That’s the law of entropy.
When I revisited this earlier this year, something clicked.
It gave language to what I’d intuitively felt for years: why routines fall apart, why boundaries blur, why clarity fades.
Sometimes, that collapse is actually helpful. It reveals what we think should be a priority, but in reality, it isn’t. Or maybe it is a true priority, but the vessel around it needs to be re-attuned.
I used to think it was a discipline problem. Now I see it for what it is: a natural consequence of not applying the right kind of energy to move things in the direction I want. That’s why my anxiety and sense of overwhelm often increased when I tried to live a more free-flowing life without a container.

You could call that container a structure. But I know so many of us are done with the patriarchalized version of structure. That’s why I now use words like vessel, or even posture, something rooted in a deeper understanding of ourselves and our needs.
And instead of discipline, I choose devotion. Discipline often carries the tone that there’s something wrong with us, something that needs fixing. Devotion, on the other hand, reminds us that we are already whole and worthy, and that it’s natural to want to actualize our potential.
When I think about turning chaos into order, I keep getting this vision:
me standing in the middle of chaos, everything swirling, loud, fast, untamed. And I reach out and grab it with my hands. I pull it in, gather it like threads, and begin directing it, shaping it, moving it where I want it to go.
Not controlling it. Not fighting it. Just working with it. Like alchemy. Like taking all that wildness and saying, “Okay. Let’s go this way.”
Anyway, I went on a bit of a rant to say, as I start using this visual more and more in my life and business, I realized I’ve been doing the same thing with my body’s posture since 2021.
My body’s version of chaos? Going into extension, bulldozing through discomfort, never slowing down when I need it, only slowing down once I’m already burned out.
Doing posture work with somatic and emotional awareness has helped me restore my alignment and retune my nervous system, just like any musical instrument needs regular tuning to stay in harmony.
This week, I recorded one of my favorite posture routines for you,
a practice I come back to regularly. It will help you release tension, restore your posture, and meet the world with sovereign power.
And if you want to go deeper and explore your body’s story, take this quiz to see what patterns show up for you!
The way we hold ourselves matters. Not just because of how it looks. But because it shapes how we live, how we relate, and what we’re capable of imagining. Let your body speak. Let it interrupt the collective war and offer you a new way of being entirely.
